Topic: Monte Montgomery

My mom surprised me with tickets to his show at the Granada Theater in Dallas on Feb. 22. Has anyone here heard of him or listened to him? I haven't heard his stuff yet. Please let me know, thanks.

He is as good as it gets on acoustic guitar. Plays through amps with pedals so it is a unique sound his original music is a bit quirky. The first time I saw him I didn't really appreciate it but over the years as I have had more opportunities to see him I have grown more familiar with his songs the shows are much easier to enjoy. His voice has gotten so much better too. Have a good time. There are a lot of good videos on Youtube to get you familiar with his live stuff.

I mentioned previously I had the pleasure of meeting Eliot Lewis, in Daryl Hall's house band, when Eliot was the warm-up act for Johnny A.

During Eliot's show he mentioned how great it was to perform with Monte Montgomery at Live at Daryl's House. I wasn't really that familiar with Monte before.
