Topic: Pete Haycock

Somewhat belatedly I learned yesterday that Pete Haycock, the original guitarist with the Climax Blues Band, died suddenly a few months back.

I was great fan of Climax during Pete's time, particularly the early stuff when their music was very blues influenced with a touch of jazz in places. Pete was a great guitarist and I'm sure he will be sadly missed.

I saw Pete playing as guest guitarist with a local blues band supporting ZZ Top a couple of years ago and it was great to see him still doing his thing. I was a fan of the Climax Blues Band when I was younger too, and it was sad to hear of his death.

Re: Pete Haycock

Richard and Bluemac, do you know that Rockpalast released a Climax Blues Band DVD and CD in one package with great booklet in 2013? The show is from their Live in Rockpalast show from 18 January 1976. With Pete Haycock of course. Great stuff!!

Thanks Andre.

I've got the "World Tour 1976" live album and it is exactly how I remember them.

Re: Pete Haycock

I'm sorry to hear this news - I was a big fan back in the day - i have them live on vinyl - also saw them live a handful of time when they were in London.  R.I.P  Pete.
