8 dead and 14 very seriously injured Praying those in hospital pull through.
After enjoying a night out myself on Friday, seeing this tragic news on Saturday morning really took the edge off. Current news is that they've found another body and they've raised the wreckage of the helicopter. Fortunately, if that could ever be the right word, the helicopter didn't explode or it would have been sheer carnage.
Thought and prayers go out to those who lost their lives, the injured and all families and huge tributes to those passers-by who helped out in the immediate aftermath.

+1 What are the chances of it hitting a one storey crowded pub and going straight through in one piece. Hard to imagine.
awful news for people enjoying live music (awful anytime of course). Some heart warming storey's coming out of Scotish spirit in pulling together and helping each other.
Everyone involved in this has been in my thoughts. It is indeed a small miracle that this did not turn into a fire scene as well. My sympathy to all who suffered a loss and healing wishes for all who were injured. I have a lot of friends on that side of the pond, and after going thru the sadness of the Station nightclub disaster here 10 years ago this type of thing hits a little close to home. Big thanks to all those who didn't walk away, but instead stayed or came in to help.

+1...these random accidents are always tough to digest.
Very sad news, the Clutha puts on a lot of blues bands. Billy Connelly used to play there and he visited the scene yesterday. There are a lot of benefit gigs planned in the new year.
