Joe was his incredible self, killing it with his acoustic set for 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute intermission. He then returned electric and slayed it for 2 more hours!  His new rendition of John Henry was OFF THE HOOK!  And of course, Django/Mountain Time as an encore is always wonderful!!

Re: Houston, November 27, 2013

I'm a new fan, so this was my first time seeing JB! I was blown away!!

Starting the show with an acoustic  set like an opening band was genius. Then to come back with 2 more hours of pure pleasure. My husband went along not knowing who JB was, he went for me. We are both Clapton fans, so I knew he wouldn't hate it. He love it! Me? I'm  obsessed now!! smile There wasn't a moment of the  we didn't enjoy.
I was so happy & surprised to hear "Who's Been Talkin'" since I haven't seen it on recent set lists.

Ending the night with Django/Mountain Time brought tears to my eyes, so beautiful the way it was done. My husband said it best that we are seeing this young man in his prime, what a pleasure that is! You can just FEEL how much he loves playing.

I never knew how strong I was until being strong was all I had left.
