Topic: Larry Miller - O2 Academy Islington - 12 December
Larry plays his only London gig this Xmas at the O2 Academy Islington - that in itself is worth £12 of anyone's money but I have just heard that Larry's drummer on the night will be former Gary Moore drummer Graham Walker - the thought of the two of them playing Parisienne Walkways together sends tingles down the spine. For those not aware of Graham's CV see below taken from Larry's upcoming gig blurb!!
Drummer Graham Walker started his career in the 60s and has played with amongst others, Mick Abrahams, B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Hubert Sumlin, Mick Jagger, George Harrison, toured with Eric Burdon and was part of Gary Moore’s Midnight Blues Band recording the famous and huge selling 1990’s albums, ‘Still Got The Blues’, After Hours and Blues For Greeny. He also played on Parisienne Walkways and there’s a chance he’ll play it with Larry on 12th December. Graham was the mainstay of Gary Moore’s touring band for years’ playing at some biggest venues across the world.
Being a Gary Moore fan and seeing him at the Charlotte Blues Club shortly before he died - with many other JB fans that night - it's a no brainer of a Xmas gig for me. Tickets amazingly still available although probably not for long following the news here http://www.o2academyislington.co.uk/eve … er-tickets
