Well, this tour is coming to Dallas on March 11, and will have Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Eric Johnson, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Chris Layton, Doyle Bramhall II, and maybe a few others as well. Has anyone seen any of these Experience Hendrix shows? If so, what did you think? I haven't been to a show yet.
I saw one a year or so ago (Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, Eric Gales, Johnny Lang, KWS, etc) and it was awesome. I really enjoyed it. Eric Gales was probably my favorite of the night, although I was very pleasantly surprised w/ Kenny Wayne Shepherd. I had seen him many years earlier and didn't like him that much, but I thought he did a great job.
I think it's worth going just to see the huge array of talent on one stage in one night, and some of the combinations are awesome (seeing Dweezil & Eric Johnson playing together was awesome).
Got 2nd row tickets in the presale for Louisville today, can't wait. When we were in Vegas a few years back they were there just a few days after we were leaving and we couldn't make it to the Cincinnati show a few months later so glad they have scheduled more dates. It was my lucky day for presales today, after I bought these I got front row for BB King in Lexington. 2014 starting out to be another great concert year!
Eric Gales is part of that line up also. One hell of a guitar player. He plays a right handed guitar, left handed if I'm not mistaken.
