Topic: Joe Acoustic Shows / Joe Beth Hart Shows ..... in USA

i would love to see Joe take his Acoustic show on the road throughout The USA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKE3itL4ApY

it would be wonderful to see him play some of the great theatres from New York Chicago Washington St Louis Oklahoma Charleston Miami Austin Las Vegas Seattle to Los Angeles  weaving his way thru and across The USA  playing some of those amazing Acoustic renditions of his songs which i must say have more than an early American history roots feel to them than our European Acoustic type of music  .... i say this cos if you did marvel at the Vienna Live DVD, it is a Masterpiece live experience which needs to been seen by his own country far and wide and of course many of those songs were wrote and penned in The US and are also about stories from The US

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpgd2xB8wDQ

with Blues, Country and Folk and many a Jamboree Stomp they could all lighten up those grand theatres,  even add some new Acoustic tunes Waiting For Me, The Last Matador of Bayonne,
When The Sun Goes Down and so many more

yes we here in The UK and Europe have had Joe's finest recent concerts and have been gratefully spoiled

hope he does find the time to take the wonderful set he had last year with Gerry Arlan Mats & Lenny on the road in America, they gelled and created something special and very unique that needs to be seen by more than just 7 shows in Europe

and i hope those concerts were not the only time this crazy good ensemble gets together, it does not deserve to be left untapped once again since Vienna

Now Joe and Beth live onstage together as Kevin Shirley rightly said are the best live band (i agree) on the planet, they are electric, her voice is just stellar and has no limits and with Joe they just create something extraordinary like a 1950's soul band with 2020 power and yet again an amazing line up to back em up and throw in an absolute varied style of fun and emotive songs

America needs this show travelling and revitalising the soul rhythm n blues through the states

In honor of Etta Aretha Billie Holiday and all the soul classics Joe and Beth have covered, its a must see, it is the core of American music thru the 50's 60's and 70's given a new fresh Blues feel with soul and Beth is just an awesome persona onstage, she needs to been seen doing this live with Joe in those old theatres, it just seems so natural, USA would lap it up, they deserve this collaboration to be huge its too talented and will get better and create more and more classic tunes revamped and written.

i hope Joe Roy Kevin dont let these masterful shows they created just be memories in Europe and not be seen by the starved masses in America of this fine and their own brand of music brought to life in this fashion by both these 2 amazing artists, theres so much more to come live onstage

it is a dream duo performing wildly and emotionally, that deserves to be seen live by their natives

"New York  Radio City Music Hall"

Straying here a bit but in skimming past "America's Got Talent" at Radio City Music Hall, all I could think of is "Joe has to play there!"   6,000 seats - hey, not a problem!

Might need to plug in, though.

I need some Joe...NOW.

Re: Joe Acoustic Shows / Joe Beth Hart Shows ..... in USA

I think it would be great if Joe did the acoustic show here as well as tour with Beth. As Michael says, those old theatres are made for stuff like that. I just worry about the American audience always being so picky about what they want to hear from Joe. He can barely change up the setlist without someone complaining about songs that are then left out. They also frequently aren't as respectful as the European audiences, with all the talking and yelling out that occurs. With an acoustic show that could be a real issue. I would still love to see it happen, though. Maybe he could do two sets, like at the Albert Hall this past March. First set with the acoustic band and then second set with his regular band. That way people will get both. A tour with Beth would be really cool as well. The energy they have together is phenomenal. Beth is so good at getting the crowd involved and excited, getting them up and dancing around. Just so much fun. Would absolutely love to see it again.

Ditto to seeing acoustic shows in the U.S. as well as Joe/Beth shows. Hopefully when the DVD is released there will be at least a mini tour in the states? I'd also love to see it again. wink
