Topic: Hi from London

Hi all
I thought I'd say hello, being new to the forum. I think this is a great forum, full of interesting gear and music threads.
I'm a 35 year old family doctor from the UK, who has realised the world tours probably aren't going to happen, but am still trying to squeeze in some playing in between work and my wonderful wife and kids. I grew up on Guns n Roses, and have found Joe via Slash, Peter Green, Jimmy Page and Clapton, as well as whilst researching my more recent guitar and amp purchases! I'm certainly from the blues- based rock school of guitar, and play a Les Paul Traditional through a 50w jcm 800 and a 50w vintage modern. The telecaster gets an occasional look in, but we have never quite seen eye to eye... Have a few pedals (standard cry baby, dd3 delay, phase 90, mxr fuzz, EP booster and the most underrated drive pedal ever, the od3) but generally like to keep it simple.
I love  Joe's playing - a great marriage of feel and technical ability which is so hard to do - and the way he seems to sincerely respect his fans in all his interviews is awesome.
Got tickets for Hammersmith in March having missed out on tickets for the Albert Hall a few days later. But today the stars aligned and great friend told me he had a spare ticket for the Albert Hall as well. Result!
Anyhow, look forward to joining the JB community.
Cheers
Matt

Welcome Matt. Be sure to check in with the forum as the London gigs approach. A chance to meet quite a few of us face to face and join in the common celebration. Lots of members from your neck of the woods here too.
