Maybe this has been out....I can't keep track. I don't recall seeing a model with Seymour Duncans though.

Hmm. Certainly not priced like a Standard. I like the SD CS JB pickups.
Wow, that's priced pretty damn high for something not built at the CS. You can get R7s and R8s new for about $2900 if you shop around.
I played one of these and they are very nice. ....as good as some custom shop models. It has some "custom" tweaks too. Grovers, and an upgraded bridge to name a few.
I resisted but it wasn't easy. Pre-CHristmas purchase guilt kept me from pulling the trigger on it.
Wildwood has a few custom shop versions but they don't have the JB pickups. I am thinking of getting the Custom shop version and tossing in the JB pickups. Its only 600 more. But its hard to beat Sweetwater for service. They do a great job.
Cool guitar. They got the knobs backwards, but the pick guard is good.
Tempted ..but I've already got the studio
WOW... a STANDARD???
They already have:
Epiphone
LP Studio
LP Custom Shop
But this appears to be different. I, for one, love the darker rosewood fretboard wood. I hope it's like that on all in this run! His Seymour duncan signature pickups are also in the guitar... and THOSE were a limited run too. This is getting really close to an actual JB guitar. lol
Still not digging the Goldtop with black back... I appreciate wood grain too much. Would be cool to send it off to historic restorations and have it look like a '59 burst. Ben then, you're talking much more money...The hefty price tag of $3500 comes with lots of case candy.

No top wrap either. (minor details )
I can keep wishing that they'd do something other than the goldtops. The only thing appealing/intriguing to me about these is the 60's neck carve. Though not exactly sure how an 60's "asymmetrical" neck carve compares to an R0 neck carve. There must a demand for non-chunky version of this guitar. So are these pickups the same as the "limited" 1959 JB SD pickups? Are there now 2359 sets of these pickups? Do these come w/ signed COAs? Not sure I understand the "Other cool bonuses include a special call-in line for Joe's discography, and a pair of Tag Hauer sunglasses". Call-in line?? If I was in the market for a gloss and was still on the fence about the Wildwood editions, I'd probably go for the standard instead.

^^ The asymetrical neck is very much like an RO version 3 neck with a subtle heal on treble side. Very comfortable if you are used to an RO neck. If an R9 neck is your preference this neck will feel a little thin.

Bingo! I'd buy one of those....
Shame they put a Nashville Bridge on it too. I guess I could live with that. Whats this one limited to? Eh 3 years from now they will make another run so who cares.
WOW, I just was looking at the 2012 standards did anybody notice they had a price increase? $2400 for a solid color and $2999 for a flame top!?!@##$
Well, I would guess the cost of wood for Gibson has gone up now that they can't use the old supply lines ...

Probably also coupled with the decline of the dollar as well.
Have you seen the cost of a new VOS? $4200 is what Guitarcenter is showing.
