Somewhere Trouble Don't Go

This song has a great riff that repeats through most of the song.    I am having difficulty matching up my tone to the tone in song.    I am pretty sure I have the lick correct but just can't get the tone.

Does anyone know which guitar Joe uses on this song?  The tone has a deep gutteral explosive thing going.  Just an awesome tone.

Its driving me nuts I can't dial in the tone on my Marshall Stack.
