Topic: British Bona-Burst Stolen

There's a thread up on this at MLP.com - but know the crowd here is hyper-sensitive to spotting a Bonaburst for sale.

Keep your eyes peeled for "JOE B 097" - details here: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/gibson- … urday.html

Dang - what is it lately that I keep hearing about guitars stolen? sad

I detest thieves and liars. I sure hope the owner retrieves his property and the thieving pricks get the stomping they justly deserve. Ball peen hammers were made for just such an occasion!!

Wow! That might be the one! There's no serial number and it's located across the pond. It also has a similar flame top, although not quite as nice as Spider's, which is probably why they used that picture.

Spider,

Just to be clear - because I'm easily confused smile - an outfit that's trying to sell a Bonaburst ripped off your pic of SN 008, but that's unrelated to the reported theft of SN 097 - right?!

Making sure I'm not spreading a false story/rumour about a missing guitar - and harming you in the process.

Re: British Bona-Burst Stolen

I'm going to install trackers into all my guitars, amps, and pedals for now on. Or maybe a self detonating device if I can't find it.

Actually, I work with radio communication systems that have an addressable code that will "kill" the radio if it is stolen.

Thats correct. Someone on the MLP forum thought the guitar in the HWAudio listing was the guitar that was stolen. When I saw that picture I realized they're using a picture of my guitar (#008) for what ever guitar they might have for sale.

Re: British Bona-Burst Stolen

Not sure what to make of all this, especially the comment on the original post on the Les Paul forum: "PS apparently afterwards they were seen in Saville Row stealing silver suits and sunglasses". Is somebody having us on?

Re: British Bona-Burst Stolen

This is really hard to believe....unreal actually...these folks doing this are total Scum...Hope they get caught soon.

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Re: British Bona-Burst Stolen

Fake picture and the Savile Row suits comment... Am I the only one smelling a rat there?

Re: British Bona-Burst Stolen

You might be right... I just e-mailed Macari's with the link to the thread at MLP asking if there was really a theft...
