Topic: Toledo 11/13/12

We took the short road trip from Cleveland to Toledo to see Joe. It was great to meet Joe and spend a few moments talking about vintage gear. Joe, I am the "mystery man that bought the '57 GT" that you saw in LA earlier this year. Next show, I may bring the guitar along.

We broke the rules and didn't scurry out of the venue quickly after the M&G. A very nice girl tried to move us along and we ended up sparking a conversation with her about the trials and tribulations of tending to your fans with M&G, signing a gazillion autographs, meeting outside by the bus and still playing hard for two hours night after night. I just want to say thank you Joe. You go above and beyond what many other musicians do.

My wife and I were front row! This show was absolutely awesome! The acoustic intro was stellar! Then having you play in front of us, so close we could tie your shoes and actually being able to see you play...well, we had a great time!

Hey Jim,

Sure do. Lots of them. Here are a few. It is a very late 1957 so I was fortunate enough to get a copy of the shipping ledger from Gibson.

Also my avatar.

What is really cool is that my wife has turned into a hard core bona-fan!

You are most welcome! I should have turned the iPhone 90 degrees and it would have been a better video.

Is Treasure yours?

Re: Toledo 11/13/12

Tag, thanks so much for posting all these goodies!  Satisfied my Joe sweet tooth for a bit.

Especially happy to hear about the converted wife!  Harmony is yours forever...nothing like popping in a Joe DVD to end all fights!

I need some Joe...NOW.
Joe = Joy

Re: Toledo 11/13/12

Hey tag2! Yes, I own Treasure, at least technically I do! It was pretty easy to see the bond between Treasure and Joe the very first time they were together. He came out and played her like they had been together forever! I think it would be a huge disservice to Treasure, Joe and everyone if he EVER quits playing her. She is a Star! At least that's what I've been told!!!

Re: Toledo 11/13/12

It is cool beyond my belief to see the owners of historic and classic guitars letting Joe play them in gigs. Thank YOU!
