Topic: Joe Bonamassa, Springfield Symphony Hall November 20 2012

Last night was my first JB show and like I said in the introductions forum it was amazing. Anyway, I had pretty good seats and managed to snap off a few shots. I hope you guys enjoy them.

Re: Joe Bonamassa, Springfield Symphony Hall November 20 2012

Nice photos, and great seats! We are second row for the Columbus, GA.11/30 show and hope our view is that good.
It seems Joe has changed sunglasses and ditched the shiny shoes for Converses. Kind of a shame really, his dress shoes shined under the stage lights and just added to the coolness factor.

He threw quite a few pair of sunglasses into the audience on Tuesday. Yes, the seats were pretty good, left loge, as far as perspective, but I have never sat in a more uncomfortable seat for a concert I could remember. I had absolutely no room for my legs! My knees were crushed against the seat in front of me. I'm not sure if all the rows were exactly like that in the loge but if anyone goes to Symphony Hall in the future and you're 6 feet, try to avoid it. Otherwise, a rocking evening.

My seats were second row, I'm 6'1" and had enough leg room.

Re: Joe Bonamassa, Springfield Symphony Hall November 20 2012

I am 6' 2" and all leg so hopefully The River Center in Columbus has more room. I've never had an issue before except at Phillips Arena in Atlanta.
Thanks for the photos and video sickman, it does give me a perspective on our seats, however we are far right, second row. I do remember though that is where Carmin and Tal are set up so maybe that is where all the action will be.
I was wondering how the sound is down in front because on our two previous shows we were 15th row and front balcony. Both sounded great but there were some occasional mixing issues in Savannah. Cobb Energy in Atlanta was perfect.

Second row far right was where my seats were too, almost directly in front of the drums. The sound was better than I thought it would be. I've been to hundreds of concerts over the last 30 years and this was one of the best sounding. Of course a lot of variables are in play for that but considering we were sitting right under the right stack, the sound was great. Didn't even need ear plugs which I do usually wear.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.

These are wonderful.  Love all the detail, also the inclusion of all band members.  Thank you Sandy!
