Boz Scaggs 11/19

Solid but uninspiring show at a small club in Solana Beach, CA.  It was my first time for a Boz only show after loving him with the Dukes of September and I thought the band was mediocre after hearing him backed by the Shuffle Diplomacy/Rent Party band. 

The Belly Up has a few tables but you have to be there way early to get one, so it was two hours of standing a couple of people back from the stage and it was brutally hot. That may have detracted from the night, and Boz' 102 degree fever probably didnt help either. Id go again, but not for a pretty much SRO show.

Set list was similar to the last several shows:  Running Blues, JoJo, Some Change, Sick and Tired, Breakdown Dead Ahead,  Harbor Lights, Lowdown, Miss Sun,  Lido, Something to Talk About, Georgia, Look What Youve Done to Me, Loan Me a Dime.

Needless to say the first and last were my favorites being more blues oriented. Sick and Tired (of Messin Around With You) was fun, you could just about hear Fats Domino singing it.
