Topic: Marshall JCM 800 and Joe's sound.. Any ideas?

Hi everyone! Some people say that you can get Joe's sound on JCM 800 because this amp is similar to the Jubilee.
Maybe I should try to plug two amps together (other Marshall clone) or boost one with a TS 808 ? Any ideas?

Iv'e read putting an original Marshall Guv-nor in front of an 800 will give you Jube tone.
  Probably does. And the Barber Direct Drive might work too.
  Nothing wrong with 800 tone, to me thats close enough.

from my experience, you've just gotta watch the highs on the 800s. Also, I don't think the bass control works the same as on the Jubilee (you need to crank the bass on the Jubilee). Maybe try:
Bass - 6    Mid - 7  High - 3 or 4 with the gain about 4 and presence off. These were my settings when I used a Sovtek MIG 60 which is apparently very similar to the 800's.

Also you have to careful of the high mid's as they are much much more aggressive than the Jubilee. The 800 is an overall quite aggressive/attacky amp.. but if you can tame it it will work well!
