Topic: Incoming NGD!

So as a gift to myself for completing US Army Basic Training, and then the Army Band program training, I got a little something inbound to my doorstep this coming Monday..

I'll be playing both guitar and French horn at my unit. The band I will be in on guitar is a mix of jazz, blues, pop, and top 40.

The guitar is an as new R8 Les Paul, from 2010, in iced tea. Purchased from a dealer who bought it from a guy who kept it in a case, and just let it sit so it is mint!

congrats man, thats awesome. I remember when I graduated Fort Knox basic back in 2005.... One of the greatest moments of my life.

Nice!!  Great looking guitar!! Maybe when/if $$ are available, throw some JB pups in her.  Hope you enjoy for many years.

P.S.  IMO, get JB's signature on back of headstock.

You know I did a double check on your pic and I knew that guitar looked familiar...Mark's Guitar Loft...Great guy to deal with...Awesome score!!!

Funny that is exactly what I did with my '58 LPRI....she sounds amazing...and I also got Joe's signature on the back of her headstock as well..AJS19, you can go wrong with that...Plus your '58 kind of looks like Magellan, the guitar JB's sig pups are from.
