Re: What your Opinion about Tuner pedals who makes the best one?

I have the Korg pitchblack + and its awesome. I think the best feature is that it can power 3 or 4 other pedals... which is extremely helpful in my case, as I was running out of outputs on my pedalpower.

Block inlay Gibson ES-335, 50th anniversary American Strat, '61 RI White SG, '62 RI Relic Strat, Replica Korina Flying V, Gold Tone Paul Beard Resonator,  '58 Les Paul RI, American Highway 1 Fender Strat, Breedlove Acoustic, Stonetree Joe Bonamassa Custom, HIWATT Lead 100R, Reeves Custom 30.

On the road Lot of artisist are using the polytune. Quick, accurate and affordable.

I like "Turbo Tuner" best, but in some cases the good old Boss TU2 is right for the job and or seems to help push water through the hose if used as first pedal.

Re: What your Opinion about Tuner pedals who makes the best one?

OK got the Korg PitchBlack + in today.  So I thought I'd give you what I like about it first.

Pros
1)  HUGE SCREEN MR. Magoo could see this thing!
2)  Metal casing
3)  I can have 2 guitars plugged in so I don't have to unplug I can just toggle between guitars.
4)  Free battery!
5)  Under $100 shipping and everything was $69 from American Musical.
6)  Can power extra pedals.

Cons
1)  Bottom is not metal its plastic
2)  True bypass but the screen stays lit to tell you which guitar your toggled on.  I think this could be a drain to a 9 volt batter easy.
3)  Its bulky.

Overall I'd say its great.  I kind of wish I went with the Pitchblack instead of the plus since its smaller and I don't like the idea of the toggle which I think will drain the battery.  I'm already looking into a powersupply so I don't have to worry about a 9 volt battery crapping out on me.

Re: What your Opinion about Tuner pedals who makes the best one?

The Turbo Tuner will not drain your battery when in the "off" position, even with cords plugged in.

Re: What your Opinion about Tuner pedals who makes the best one?

I'm not sure this one is bad, I just know a led can't be good burning all the time.

The typical life of an LED is between 2000-3000 solid days. Don't get too tense about it! wink
Never had a problem with my Turbo Tuner in years...solid as a rock.

I'm not worried about this one it might not be a rock, but I've had a LOT worse.  Should serve me well.
