Re: Youngstown 11/14

This is a well deserved road trip for my brother, myself and our friend. My brother surprised us with tickets to see the Monkees on Nov. 16th in Chicago so I surprised him back with Joe tickets. Afterall, it is on the way to Chicago! Neither has seen Joe and the boys before and I know they're going to be amazed! Unfortunately our friend can't follow us to Chicago for our Monkees show and we're stuck with an extra ticket. Maybe we'll get lucky and someone there will be looking for one.

Any recommendations for a place to eat in Youngstown?
.

Re: Youngstown 11/14

Woohoo...it's almost here and I'm so excited! We're leaving Virginia at 4am and hope to be in Youngstown by noonish. The only thing I have left to do is decide which Joe shirts to pack!

Re: Youngstown 11/14

Hi tag2, that's a beauty of a guitar!  You will thoroughly enjoy the show in Toledo, I guarantee!  Just went to Columbus and it was phenomenal.  Going to Youngstown tomorrow also!  Hey, I used to live in Findlay and worked for Marathon Oil quite a while back.

Hi dazee, I am told that there are no restaurants within several blocks from the theater, but the theater has an in-house eatery called the Ovature Restaurant.  It will open tomorrow at 5:00.  Guess I'll just go there before the show.  Hope to see you and maybe srxman and airportdon as well!?!
Any other Pittsburghers going?

Re: Youngstown 11/14

Coming from Pittsburgh, especially important since he hasn't put the Burgh on the 2013 Tour yet. Draught House sounds like a good idea to me

Thanks to Pandora for introducing me to Joe's music!

Re: Youngstown 11/14

Got to the Venue a liitle late So we did not get to meet up with any Burgh Fans....
On the Bright Side:.the Venue was top notch with excellent leg/arm room seating and most importantly Joe and the Band was spot on.....:)
My Favorite song was Young Man Blues...with Joe's newly aquired Whte 60's Sg Special...and Just got paid/Dazed version was unreal as well...
Joe opening up with his Acoustic was a real treat.....I like it this way better....and just rocking out the rest of the evening.
I'm still pumped up on a natural high.....!!!

Re: Youngstown 11/14

What a trip it was in Youngstown last night! Totally slayer show.  Joe and band must all be bionic to keep up this pace and deliver stellar performances time after time.

Lighting was terrific, sound quality right on (the in-ears must be working out well), beautiful theater.  Still addicted to Just Got Paid after all this time.  Guess the Young Man Blues white guitar is the one Joe picked up at the pawn shop in Ft. Wayne?  Gorgeous.

Had fun at the Draught House pre-show.  Visited with everyone there looking for Forum members.  Sorry to miss some of you but so glad to meet srxman, twolf413, g-man, logo33, a relative of rsforever, and 3 fun guys from Erie - Steve, Dallas and Rich. Rich graciously parted with one of his red Joe picks from the M&G, thanks again.  Still want a Herco though.  Tons of first-timers there attending the show - world domination closer every day.  Someone there won 2 tickets to the show but couldn't go and were having trouble giving them away - how PAINful to watch.

Said hi to Joe at the bus.  Met him 4 days prior in Columbus and he remembered my name!  Yeah, 4 days isn't much but considering all the bus groups and M&Gs in between... I read on here somewhere that he remembered a guy's name a year later. Bionic brain too.

Now entering a wasteland period before Joe may return to this area.  Will busy myself with catching up on his catalog.  Very first spend if the lottery cooperates will be the Vegas and London packages.  Dream on.

Joe proves over and over that he is the best - treats his fans with the utmost respect and accommodation.  We love you, admire you and respect you, Joe.  Thanks so much for all you do for us.

Re: Youngstown 11/14

Hi Sally, it was fun meeting you in the Drought House and again in the theater. First time seeing J.B. for me but not the last. I sat in the same row as you and was wondering if you're still smiling like you were for two hours. I still get goose bumps when I listen to my " Beacon Theater" cd. Like you, I've been thinking of ways to swing a Vegas trip. Would you, or anyone have a playlist from the Youngstown show. Until next time, Tony
