Topic: A "Custom" Gibson Les Paul Standard VOS 2012 JB Finish

Hi Im new here but have followed & promoted Joe Bonamassa since late 2010

Interested in the VOS 2012 that was made in limited numbers I was egger to get one but because of the high price tag I wasn't able to afford one.

But heres the solution I came up with, I precured a Les Paul Standard 2008 in Desert Burst and here is the result:

Essentially I gutted the model and rebuilt in mostly myself from scratch doing the following

  • 4x 500k CTS Pots

  • 50's Wiring

  • 2x US Made Bumble Bee's

  • Replaced the Neutrik Jack for a Switchcraft & Chrome Cover

  • Dropped the taipliece and reversed the strings

  • Fitted Black Hardware

  • "Custom Shop" Bonamassa Truss Rod

  • Finally adding 6x Cresent Moon Tuner heads

The result is a Guitar I REALLY love and is a joy to play

Just curious to know if im the only one to have this idea?

Gibson Les Paul Standard Joe Bonamassa VOS 2012 Custom (Manchester 2013 Signed)
Fender Mustang 1969 Matching Headstock - Candy Apple Red Jazz Bass 50th Anniversary - 3 Tone Burst
Chapman Guitars ML1 Antique Sunburst #21 Crunchy (Signed by Rob, Dorje & Phil X)
