Topic: New Speaker Day: Eminence Delta Pro 12-A

I bought 4 of them a few days ago and tried 2 of them out in a spare box whilst my tall straight 4x12 cab is being built and wow these speakers rule!!

So defined and clear!! They add no colouration or mush but allow you to still have warmth, the highs are crystal light and the lows are broad but all is very clear. It allows clean sounds to gain an extra dimension and it makes your dirty sounds so defined you wouldn't believe the amount of gain you are running. These are by far the best speakers I've ever heard (I've never heard an EV 12-L but I hear these are close)I will never use a celestion again!

I think it's a bit mad to close on a statement like that though...
Some of the greatest ever tones and still superb tones today have been created on a wide range of speakers. I personally like my Centurys...and a whole load of others...they have their purpose.
Glad you like them...at least you can run a 100w head at full blast into just one of them.

I got them from Cecere's Music here in SA, not too sure about where else!! There should be something on the Eminence website!!

I really really like them personally, I like Celestions but they have never wow-ed me to this level!

I'm not saying these are better than Celestion, they just suit me better smile

Celestions just aren't rugged. That's why Zakk Wyldes stopped using them. I think v30s sound good sometimes. I'd never put greenbacks into something I plan to crank up. But my EVs sound good all the time.

Now that you have the JUB fixed, it will be interesting to see your video with the Ceria-jub and these speakers. The high wattage tolerance of these should make it sound close to the EVMs.
