Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

lol, yeah I was hoping to land right-side up and got lucky that it did.  He made a fair enough move as I held more to the inside and only left him the outside.  I tried to hold him to the outside after the apex but over did it a bit.  I figured we might rub a little, which we did, but then the second rub was bit more intense. I still can't believe I held the spot though.

My first podium with this group, so I'm stoked about that.  I'd rather have not had the contact but dang, I wanted to hang onto that position!!

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Today at around 1:20 pm est US, I will be running with the BMx5WT at Sebring. We are running this one with the night environment.  This looks to be the only 2012 night race for this series.  There have not been a lot of night road races on the broadcasts yet.  I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.  The bright yellow LIVE scheme again for this one.

Later on today I'm running with the CESCS at Laguna Seca.  I'm not sure if coverage is a go for this one.  If so, I wll post back with the info.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Lol I was my own worst enemy for this round.  Early on I'm trailing 5th and 6th for a few laps and then got a run when they had a slight issue on one of the exits.  I picked up both positions, only to give them back two turns later.
I had two self spins and a couple, or so more slight offs.  I somehow managed to keep in the top ten and yeah it was a blast for sure.

This next one is going to be very tricky while trying to dodge the Mustangs.  Looking forward to getting it going.
EDIT: Nope, there is no coverage for the Laguna race.

Hey everyone,  While this is not directly related to the Joe paint schemes I like to run, or one of the races I'm running them in, I thought some of you may like to check this out.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Hi Rick,
We should be starting up at, or a few minutes after 8 pm EST US.
The oval race first then the road race.  The roster has had some slight changes, so far.  Mostly though it has been because of more drivers being able to commit.  Some of these driver has very little iRacing or simulation experience, so there will be a few funny moments, here and there.

This is all for fun with a donation going to the winning driver's favorite charity organization.  Which ever driver scores the most point, combined from both races, wins.  But, I will add that there is a lot of bragging right up for grabs and a good number of the drivers are taking some early digs at each other on twitter.  So, yeah, racers will be racers wink.

As for the McLaren,  yeah I'm ready to get some laps with it.   They have modeled the turbo system and also have a new steering mechanize making its debut.  Should be blast!

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

I watched the two races. Very cool with some good racing up front, but a mess of wrecks at the back. A family friend was in both but got collected early and never was even in the running. Peter Dempsey, a young gun who will run Indy Lights this season.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

I retuning to the Continental Endurance Sports Car Series today for race two at MOSPORT.  I'm running a new scheme to go with the Veinna release.  You can view the race online at, http://www.twitch.tv/gsrc.
Coverage should be live soon with qualifying for the Mustangs and then Qualifying for the MX-5 class.

I ran earlier today in the Blondie's MX5 World Tour at Lime Rock Park and had a decent finish.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

This thread has been a little quite recently. I have been running paint schemes for the Vienna release coming up this month.  March has also seen the return of the iRacing.com World Championship series seasons.  I have again returned to my spotting and info passing duties with the PSRTV crew. We are covering the first two races of the iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series and all races of the NASCAR iRacing World Championship Series.

Since there has been a good number of broadcast groups popping up, each offering more coverage of the Simracing spectrum, I have started a new website to act as a viewing guide for the various broadcasts.

I have also included in the site a page for Joe related info.  If you would like to keep up with the goings-on of my Joe related simracing, this will now be the easiest method.  You can currently reach the page by viewing the Calendar page and clicking the Joe Bonamassa Live button.  I have three races slated to run this week with Vienna paint schemes and maybe a forth one on Sunday if I qualify for it.

The name of the site is The Simracing Broadcast Guide.
Here is a link to the site, currently a free WIX account with a proper domain name coming soon.

Remember to check the Calendar page for the link to the Joe related page.

Never thought that to things i enjoy the most in life, rock n roll and racing (especially simracing) would be something to join forces. Just need a few paddock girls and we will be all set big_smile

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Thanks for the update and links Chuck. I'll be watching when I have time.
Real racing going on in your neighborhood, (more or less) next week is Sebring! My son was pit on FMazda there a few years back and said it was a real thrill to watch at night.

Keep the shiny side up!

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Well, if things go well over the next couple of days, I will be starting some Sebring racing a little early.  I am trying to qualify for the NEO Endurance league opener, The 2.5 Hours at Sebring.  This will be ran on iRacing's night version of the track.
Three cars classes are running.  I'm trying to qualify in the P1 class with the Honda Performance Development ARX 01c.
The race will be broadcast by GlacierTV.  I will keep ya posted as to if I qualify or not...

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

I have managed to attain the last Pre-qualifying slot for the NEO ENDURANCE Spider 250 race. Sunday April 7 at 17:30 GMT / 1:30 pm EDT US.  You can view the broadcast at http://www.glaciertv.com/ I am carrying a Beth Hart paint scheme for BANG BANG BOOM BOOM.

This race is being ran using the iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations software and is 250 miles around the iRacing rendering of the Barber Motorsports Park, which will clock in at around 2 hours and 45 minutes.  There are two car classes, using the Riley MkXX Daytona Prototype and the McLaren MP4-12C GT3.  I'm running in the Mclaren class.

This will be a wild one and if I can make it to the checkers I will be happy.  I don't have the speed that most of the others in my car class but this one will be much more based on survival, which should even things out a bit.

Tune in if you have the time.
