iRacing 2012 Season 4

The regular series seasons run for 12 weeks.  The 4th season for 2012 began Monday.  I will be looking to make races in a few series, in addition to the normal league races, I run in.  Here are a couple of new paint schemes I will be running.

For the NASCAR iRacing.com C Series trucks, I'm running a scheme based on the LIVE flyers.

For the iRacing.com Sprint Car Series, I'm running my first scheme dedicated to the crew at tribut.  They have some great designs going on, including some great Bonamassa related designs.

I think you have more fun designing the wrap than racing Chuck. Those are great! Keep putting up the times you might be running. I'll be tuning in when I can. That yellow one will be easy to spot. smile

Lol Rick, I'd say the wrapping part is more relaxing anyhow.  So far these two series have no broadcast coverage but I may be making some laps with the truck in a broadcast race soon.

Hey Jay,  It's great to find another simracer around here!  Thanks for filling Lizzee in on some details of the system.  Which nights are you running the V8SC?  I've been spectating a few races recently and I'll try to keep an eye out for you.  I hope to get back into running the V8 races more often.  Hope to see you out there soon.

Hey Chuck. I'm racing with an Australian league using the hosted system. The group is Oceanic Sim Racing and we race Wednesday nights. I've just taken the championship in the last two season and am gearing up for the next season starting tonight. We are open to to international racers but it's mostly Aussies due to the racing time. We just follow the official series as far as tracks are concerned but mix up the round structure with a couple of enduro rounds thrown in. Most races last an hour, but the longer races tend to favour my style of driving.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Hey Jay, What time are the races you are running?  I'm normally pretty busy on Wednesday evenings but I may be able to make some laps earlier.  I hope to make races in the regular V8SC series this season too.   Thanks for the info.  I will check the league area for more info on the Oceanic group.

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

A new league entry may be on the way soon.  The Blondie's MX5 World Tour league has had some slots open up for mid-season replacements.  I've sent an application and I'm awaiting to see if I can get in on the fun.  This is an MAZDA MX-5 only series running either the Cup (left side driver) or Roadster (right side driver) versions.  I would be running the roadster version.  I will post more info when it gets to me.

This league does have broadcast coverage on Saturdays at noon est. US so it would offer a chance to get some air time with a new paint scheme.
For this one I would be starting out with one I have been wanting to do for a while now.

Nice, I always have all black ones but that looks good. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

There should be broadcast coverage for the Blondie's MX-5 World Tour race at around 2pm est Sat. Nov. 3rd.  It should be viewable at this link, http://www.glaciertv.com/  This will be the race which I'm running the Keeping The Blues Alive scheme.
This is a 45 minute timed race at the Okayama GP circuit and my first race with this league.
Here is an image of the completed scheme http://www.flickr.com/photos/cj2012/8149720717/ .

Later Sat. evening I will be running the next race of the CESCS schedule at Watkins Glen.  No broadcast coverage for this one.
I'm running a new version of the AFTERGLOW scheme which can be seen here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/cj2012/8149748402/ .

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

I hope all goes well with the race and broadcast.  iRacing did a new build a couple of days ago and there have been a few issues.  I think they have corrected them but we shall see how it goes.  Practice opens at noon with qualifying at 2pm and the race session soon after.  If any issues arise, I will post info asap.

The Okayama course is a blast in the these cars.  A good number of sections that can ruin your day.  This group is another that has drivers from a good number of countries.  Looking forward to mixing it up!
The track just opened for practice so I'm off to get some laps in.

Well, to help ease the edge of not making it to the Cincinnati show last night, I'm running the next round of the Blondie's Mx-5 World Tour at the Summit Point full course.  The race should start around 1:15 pm est later this afternoon, Sat. Nov. 10.
This is my second run with this series and I found out last week that there are some very quick drivers running with them.  I made it home in 11th for that race and I hope for better in this round.

The broadcast should be up at www.glaciertv.com

I've got a new Bonamassa paint scheme going for this race ( and a few others) which can be viewed here,  http://www.flickr.com/photos/cj2012/8171601717/

Nice race Chuck. They picked up on your battle to hang on to 7th for a bit around 4 laps to go since it was the closest position race going. Great late charge by Rato to win!

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Thanks Rick.  I will be checking out the replay when it is posted.  Cool that I got some airtime this week.  I will have to look back at who was chasing me but yeah, he was keeping me under pressure for sure lol.  I was too far back to see but it sounded like they were having fun up front.  Those guys were putting in some quick laps too.

Next week we are running on the F-1 layout of Indianapolis.  I will end up running two races at this layout as the CESCS is also running there, later the same day.  It is too bad the CESCS coverage got screwed up.  We have been having some great races.

Away off topic but I thought the race fans might like this hot lap by a young American in a test drive. Conor Daly is one of the up and coming young drivers that have advanced through the Mazda Road to Indy series. http://www.junioropenwheeltalent.com/20 … +Talent%29

Re: Simracing for Bonamassa (and related endeavors)

Cool Rick!  I will check that out here it a few.

I just found out the CESCS Indy race, tonight, will is having broadcast coverage.  They are already covering our warmup session and I guess they will be doing the qualifying session too.  They are live now at this link,  http://arl-tv.com/index.php/arl-tv-livestreams/

The race should start around 7:20 pm est US.

I had a fun run, and a decent finish, earlier today in the Blondie's Mx-5 World Tour at Indy.  I hope for the same with the race this evening.  Throwing the Mustangs in the mix is going to be interesting though.

I'm running an AFTERGLOW scheme for the first time with this series.
