Topic: Prayers for Anthony Gomes

Yikes guys his touring van went up in flames last night. Here's his facebook status:

"Tonight, while I was driving on I-55 my touring vehicle caught on fire and very quickly became totally engulfed in flames. I lost a great deal of equipment, most of my music library and most of my clothes. I was able to rescue my guitars before the van was completely on fire. I so am very blessed that I made it out in one peace. My guardian angel was working overtime tonight. Many thanks to the Illinois State Police and Normal Fire Department for responding so quickly."

I'm glad he's ok and no one got hurt.
I just saw him Saturday night in Ohio...Biscuit Miller played bass for him..it was a great reunion & a great show as well.

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Good News Anthony is alive and well. Saw him last night in Rockland Maine and he told a very funny story of this accident. Will have a vid or two of the show up on you tube soon will post the links. The show was very good, had not been to a club show in a long time and everyone there had a blast. Anthony opened with Unity and played a lot off his new release Up2Zero wich I highly suggest everyone download or buy just to lend a hand-plus it is very good!

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

Wow, is this coincidence, or what? I just posted on Biscuit Miller after seeing him last month, and now I find him mentioned with Anthony Gomes! After seeing him I did research when I got home and found his link to Anthony (watched a YouTube video with Anthony and Ana Popovic with Biscuit on bass), and that's why I checked out this string! Too cool.

Anyway, Anthony's on our must-see list too.

Couple of vids from the show. Top one is AG telling the van fire story-very funny worth the five minutes. The bottom one is One last time a nice bluesey number. For anyone interested AG just stated a street team page/forum just like Joe. Funny to see a forum whith only 29 members- i imagine a few of you remember when Joe first started and never imagined where it would be at today.
