Nice one Pete! I'm always jealous when I see rare stuff like this that are likely one time only songs. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

Wow.  This is a pretty ambitious thread.  I'm not sure I am up to listing all the songs I've seen, but a few particularly memorable ones come to mind:

1.) Your Funeral And My Trial  -  11/02/07 Chicago HOB featuring LD Miller on harmonica
2.) Tea For One  -  05/06/12  Murat Theatre Indianapolis featuring Doug Henthorn on vocals
3.) If Heartaches Were Nickles  -  sometime/someday/somewhere featuring Gregg Allman on vocals

P.S.  BONAMETAL baby!

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

Believe it or not, I actually made a similar list that I started sometime early last year but never posted it. The reason I started the list was to counter the argument that Joe doesn't change his set list enough. For that reason, the criteria I used was only songs played at a Joe Bonamassa show and not any of the various side projects or guest appearances Joe has been a part of. My list:

Faux Mantini
Miss You, Hate You
Woke Up Dreaming
Takin' The Hit
Blues Deluxe
You Upset Me Baby
Had To Cry Today
The River
Burning Hell
I Don't Live Anywhere
Mountain Time
Pain And Sorrow
I Know Where I Belong
If 6 Was 9
Are You Experienced
Spanish Castle Magic
A New Day Yesterday
Walk In My Shadows
Bridge To Better Days
Asking Around For You
So Many Roads
Your Funeral My Trial
High Water Everywhere
Django
Just Got Paid
Another Kind Of Love
Sloe Gin
One Of These Days
If Heartaches Were Nickels
So It's Like That
Ball Peen Hammer
Ballad Of John Henry
Last Kiss
Lonesome Road Blues
Stop
The Great Flood
Further On Up The Road
Story Of A Quarryman
Happier Times
Three Times A Fool
Bird On A Wire
You Better Watch Yourself
Young Man Blues
Blue And Evil
Cradle Rock
When The Fire Hits The Sea
Dust Bowl
Slow Train
Steal Your Heart Away
Midnight Blues
Song Of Yesterday
I  Know A Place
Down Around My Place
Sinner's Prayer
I'll Take Care Of You
Fire And Water
Driving Towards The Daylight
Who's Been Talking
Look Over Yonders Wall

And not full songs, but more than a teaser,
Starship Trooper
Heart Of The Sunrise
Los Endos

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

I was lucky enough to hear "The Thrill is Gone" - played in an encore at the Garde Theater in New London, CT, November 18, 2007, with Sam Bush.  8 minutes of pure heaven.

P.S.  Cool thread

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

I've been really lucky and collected some rare ones. Sandy and Joe twice in the duet of Bird on the Wire, all three of the Baked Potato shows which cannot be topped for unique songs, and three BCC shows including the "secret encore" debut in Riverside with Medusa.

The BBC recording of Joe & Sandy doing this song is pure heaven.  It rolls around in my head all the time. True story.  Great harmonies on that one!

Fantastic topic, Bill! Now this is interesting!  Impressive persons such as Bill & Lee (huh, yeah, and Renee) with those great lists!!!  Lee, takes the top though.  The pangs we feel when we missed one of 'em.  ***SIGH***...... only recourse?  Get out there and catch him and don't worry about catching up....ever!  It is all about interest......and interest paid!!!! lol

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

Interesting topic, and I enjoyed scanning the other lists, but it would be easier for me to say "Ditto".  I'm guessing many of us have a whole lot of shows in common.  (That 2007 HOB show was special, though that's how the faithful feel, every time we see Joe, right?)

I used to be nuts enough to save setlists for every show.  Decided even as a hardcore fan, that was over the top.  (And scribbling the tune names down was taking away from just enjoying the show, even if it didn't take long to note them.)

I don't recall the show (maybe Elgin Community College a few years back?), but somewhere along the line I recall Joe playing Clouds on the Horizon, I believe it was not long after he and Walter did it for "Full Circle.  Could just be a confabulation, though.

Anyone else remember hearing Joe do COTH, live?

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Not in Elgin, been to all those shows and it never showed up there.

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

I looked back at my list and am re-thinking one song:
I Don't Believe I have seen I Don't Believe.
Could be I've listened to this so much I talked myself into it.
Did Joe ever have this in his setlist?

Hahaha...I've never seen "I Know Where I Belong" live, so I'm jealous of Lee on that song alone!
Our setlists are otherwise amazingly similar.

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

Thanks Bill.  ECC was just a stab, and like you with "I Don't Believe", I may just have talked myself into it.  I wore that track out, when Full Circle was released.

Can't say I recall "I Don't Believe".  Too bad there's not a better set list archive around the forum.  Too much work to have a pure dedicated (and searchable) archive...and really, what would be the point, I guess.

Kind of why I stopped keeping my own.  (And Joe's weren't the only shows I used to do it for.)

This has been an interesting trip down memory and dismemory lane.

Re: Songs you've seen Joe play live?

Great topic Bill.  Earlier this year I started a spreadsheet and went through all my shows and only missing three shows, one being Joe Fest, Seven Springs BB King 80th bday, and Decatur, GA in 06.  This is going back to 2002 to the present.  I was thinking like Lee, and wanted to see how many different songs that Joe has played that we were there over the years. Mountain Time, Woke Up Dreaming and Just Got Paid are the most frequent played in my list.
