Topic: Found an Unused Clapton mid boost kit.

Found is an understatement.  It was in my basement with a lot of stuff I was missing.  I bought the it to put in my Sunburst Stratocaster about 6 years ago, however I was afraid I would have to cut pockets into the body which I wasn't willing to do.  So I shelved it for 6 years.  Earlier today I was cleaning out my basement when I came across a box that had a pile of clothes thrown over it for some time now.  As I was going through the box I found this unopened kit, along with 4 packs of strings, 2 boxes of picks, and a few straps I used 10 years ago that had the holes tear on them... I was keeping them to repair them.  My guitar room used to be upstairs and when we had our son he took over my guitar room, this box was quickly used as a catch all.  I was seriously about 5 seconds away from loading it up into the van and giving the clothes to good will!  I'm very glad I looked first.

So should I try to install this in my American Series Strat?

Ty Tabor did that!  He used to use Fender Stratocaster Elites with the mid boost, but I think his was only 12 db not 25 db like the clapton boost.  Anyway when they got Zion guitars to build him a guitar he had Joe Barden p-rails and Mesa Dual Recto heads.  They found that the guitar would feedback more with the preamp in the body more then it would if it was a pedal so it made it to be a pedal for the Dogman LP.  I really want that TBX switch in there for the country stuff we are doing now days and the mid boost can get that heavy rocking country thing going I think.  So its more then likely going in the guitar.  Don't know yet.
