Vintage bridge issue. Help folks.

Have you considered just using a file and make notches for the strings to rest?  I know a lot of people don't do that with fenders because the string bends over the saddle and it just lays where it lays.  I've had some guitars set up Strats that need to have the file marks because of magnet spacing.  Another thing to consider is that its a bolt on neck and even though they hold really tight tolerences at Fender there is some slop where the neck and the body join together.  You could loosen the neck bolts slightly and see if the neck needs to simply be repositioned.  Almost like the neck is not straight with the body and either leans left to the bass side or right to the treble side.  I think your might be leaning to the treble side slightly and if you would loosen the neck bolts and pull the neck to the left a little you might find that the small amount of slop in the neck joint could correct for this.  If you pull it too far you could have the Bass strings doing the same problem though.  Just loosen them a couple of turns you don't want to remove the neck, and you might also want to loosen the strings to get the string force off the neck.  Really don't think a bridge will make a difference, but if you do switch bridges make sure the 6 holes match your vintage trem or you'll have to plug the holes and drill the body over.  A lot of your mexico, japan, and china guitars use the smaller size bridges and the holes don't match American Vintage trem.  Hey a very cheap alternative is WWW.GUITARFETISH.COM I've bought a lot of things there, their vintage trems with Brass bridge block are really nice, but the saddles mine was a little cheap looking but the guitar played great with the bridge.  Hope this helped a little.  I'd seriously try to move the neck though before I spent money on it.
