Thanks to our vortex1 for uploading this superb professional quality film from Morrisville, Pa. in July 09. It's nearly half an hour long and features Michael talking about his childhood and youth, as well as lots of great music. Highly recommended for anyone who'd like to know a bit more about this wonderful musician - and man.

Thanks for this. Another great twenty minutes of brilliant playing by a man who will be greatly missed. Never saw him but your clips make up for that. What a great concert setting also. Thanks again.

Well, I have now just gone through all these clips again. What a great if unproductive afternoon. Hammer you are a star.

Re: RIP Michael K Burks

Here's a note for your diary. Paul Jones' show on BBC Radio 2 on 28th May will include an obituary for Michael Burks and will likely feature at least one track from The Iron man.

I'm really sad that I wasn't able to see Michael when he was in the UK. I had an invitation from Alligator Records to attend his show at Charlotte Street Blues and write a review for Blues Matters, then CSB folded before the gig.

Thank you for the wonderful videos, George. It's great that you have them to watch and relive those treasured memories. What a cruel and sad loss. sad

Michael would have turned 55 today.

Play something in his memory. Here's one I haven't posted before.
