Topic: Dr Z amps

I haven't heard much about Dr Z's amps on this forum. I have a Maz 18 Jr which I totally adore. It can do the Vox / Fender voices pretty well, and Marshall with an OD pedal.
Incedibly well constructed, with a Tele it's killer.

Not much love here?

They are on the bright side, which I think is great for certain types of music. I had an RxJR, but would love a Stangray or Z-Wreck. I don't think they are what I would use to try to emulate JBs tone tho (I only mention that because this is the JB forum). But the Z's are fantastic amps- the most touch-responsive I've ever played. Very short signal paths, very immediate feel. Another Z is in my future.
