Topic: Steve Earle last night!!

Well, I saw Steve Earle & The Dukes last night at the Granada Theater in Dallas, and it was an awesome show!! The opening band were called the Mastersons, a husband & wife duo who were also members of Steve's band, and he even came out to introduce their performance, which I thought was really cool. Steve played some of his hit songs and several newer songs. After he did 3 songs in the encore, we got up and were ready to leave, when he and the band came out for a second encore and did 3 more songs. Here's what he played last night:

Waitin' on the Sky
Little Emperor
The Gulf of Mexico
Molly O
Every Part of Me
Telephone Road
My Old Friend The Blues
Someday
The Galway Girl
Harlan Man
The Mountain
Ben McCulloch
Free Men
(Kelley Looney on vocals)
Meet Me in the Alleyway
God Is God
City of Immigrants
Taneytown
Hard Core Troubadour
The Revolution Starts Now
The Unrepentant

Encore:
Fort Worth Blues
Guitar Town
Copperhead Road

Encore 2:
Francine
(ZZ Top cover)
It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry
(Bob Dylan cover)
N. Y. C.

Re: Steve Earle last night!!

I love Steve Earle, he gets my vote as the next Dylan over Springsteen anyday. I was bummed that they killed off his character on HBO's Treme. Steve IS a Hardcore Troubador.

Sorry, mind reading isn't one of my talents, but watch it anyway, it's an entertaining series.

No biggie. I will definitely continue watching it. Need to rent season 2. I'll just keep waiting for Earle's character to bite the dust. wink

If you don't want to spend the money HBO will probably rerun season 2 prior to season 3. If you have On Demand you can watch them at your leisure when the reruns start up.
