Topic: John Lee's Club

Went to SF Thur. night to see Willy Nelson @ The Fillmore. Willy was in fine form and some people from city hall came to proclaim April 19th Willy Nelson day in SF. Before the show we stopped in across the street @ The Boom Boom Room the club owned by the late great John Lee Hooker. The walls are lined with some very cool photography of all the blues greats. There's a round booth in the right corner of the stage that every night has a sign on it that reads this table reserved for Mr. John Lee Hooker and obviously it remains vacant all night long. The club is too small a capacity for Joe these days unless he wanted to play there for nostalgic reasons. I am dreaming of the day Joe might play across the street at The Fillmore though. If any of my forum friends are in SF you've gotta hit these venues for sure.
