Topic: Hey guys! :)

Im new to the forum and thought i'd introduce myself, my name is Alex and i'm from Adelaide Australia. I'm 17 and have been playing guitar for about 4 years and a bit, I have many guitar player influences including David Gilmour (hence the name hehe), Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix...well all the greats! Including Stefan Hauk who is a good friend of mine, we've jammed on stage together and he's a big influence on me trying to get into a group and play live more. I play mostly rock music with a mixture of blues, jazz, progressive rock and instrumental virtuoso guitar.

As for gear I'm currently using a Fender mexican strat with Seymour Duncan SSL-1 pickups in the neck and middle and SSL-5 in th bridge aswell as an Epihpone Tony Iommi Signature SG with Seymour Duncan '59 pickups. I play those into a DSL401 with a 2x12 avatar cab with a V30 and G12H30 and go through a about 5 or 6 pedals Inlcuding:

Maxon OD808>MXR Classic 108 Fuzz>Boss DS-1 (for home low vol distortion use)> Throbak Overdrive Boost>Artec Analog Delay>amp.

As you can see above Alex is my 'real-life' friend, I made sure he joined, treat him well guys he's a good dude smile
