Yeah I fell into the trap...got my tickets too...I hit that Joe is going to get a call for a private show and a purchase of a guitar...LOL
Ah Yes DREAMS!!!!!
If I won that much money, I wouldn't know what to do with it. I think I'd give a large amount to charity and take a few vacations with it.
Our office pooled for a few hundred tix. Dreaming big! 550M cash payout and climbing as lotto frenzy hits its peak. We don't play fair though. Got the tix in the local latino barrio corner store for the extra good luck. Hablamos Espanol.

The heck with round the world tix. I'd hire the band and invite all for a private gig!
I'm in a pool at work. We've got 340 tickets and I only bought 1! I'm just hoping to get my dollar back but if I win anything I'm going to get to pay for a absessed tooth
Wouldn't it be fun to win! If no one wins they said it would go up to a billion dollars!
I can tell you one thing I would do for sure, I would buy Joe any guitar his heart &
fingers desired! There are a million and one things I would do if I won! I hope one of
us wins or at least gets a big chunk of it! Good Luck Everyone!

I'll be going to work on Monday
I doubt any of us would seriously be able to sleep or function properly for a week after winning that much money. The shock of winning such an absurd amount of cash has got to be insane, but I'd be willing to deal with it...
I heard this morning on the radio, at least one person from Maryland has won the lot! I for one don't envy them. I wouldn't want that much responsibility, their lives will never be their own again.
The media will never leave em' alone, not to mention the begging letters they will receive , by the sack full!
It could turn into a nightmare, rather than a blessing!
I hope and pray that doesn't happen,
I just read that at least one winning ticket was bought in Maryland.... ......
Cathy, Jane...any of you....hello....?
The first thing the guy in MD should do is head to a warm, remote island and sip cool drinks until the media settles down. The other thing is to have or find someone that knows money or has alot of money and run any decisions past them. Too many people get their hands on this kind of cash and ruin their lives. Many wealthy folks grow into it slowly, so they learn as they go.
Hmmm... a new Gulfstream would be really nice!
There's a documentary I've seen on Discovery Channel about Lottery winners, most of them ended up dead or bankrupt not too long after their "lucky winning day". The smart thing to do no matter how much you win is to disconnect your phone & hire a reputable tax attorney to represent you and keep your mouth shut.

All the same, I, like everyone else who played, wouldn't have minded exchanging one set of problems for another!
And yes, like LesPaul4, I also would have given J&R Adventures a call to see if Joe has a price for private shows. That is, for me and a few good friends... you'd all be invited, of course!
Oops, I guess I just Woke Up Dreaming! Back to reality now...

Don't get me wrong, I'd gladly accept the challenge, but let a professional guide the ship. I've also read that taking the payments is the smart way to go. Should you screw up with your 1st payment, you get 25 more tries to figure it out and collect more of the prize.

I would give $635 away. 5m is more than enough to live on, imo. but just giving money away isn't as easy as you might think!

By the time the taxman got done with you it would be near half that to start.

Lottery winners get taxed!!! Not so over here. When does the tax threshold for lottery winners kick in?
