Topic: Alexis Signing out

Dear friends and street teamers, yesterday I submitted my letter of resignation from J&R Adventures. My last day will be April 6th.
This decision was a very difficult one for me as I have put almost 4 years of my heart and soul into everything I did. Promoting Joe Bonamassa wasn't just me, it became something my whole family was proud to do. Not only were they proud of me for achieving my goal and getting a position working for one of my favorite musicians but they enjoyed his music just as much as me. I remember letting my dad borrow my car for a weekend and having it returned covered in Bonamassa stickers. Let me tell you those things are not easy to take off lol. I spent 8 months and interviewed 3 times to get a chance to work in this office. I came in as a fan so becoming the street team coordinator was a huge privilege for me. A fan giving other fans a chance to meet their idol? what more can you ask for?
Just like many of you, I did a lot of promoting without any compensation. I worked many weekends. While the rest of the office was relaxing I was hauling guitars, handing out flyers, talking to street teamers.
I did it because I loved pushing the music. I turned down several offers to work with bigger artists to stay here because I believe in Joe and his music. Unfortunately the time has come that I can no longer afford to stay here. I want you all to know that everything I got to experience was because of you. If it wasn't for all of you I would not have a job. I regret that I was only able to meet a small portion of you but I am happy to know that I was able to impact your lives with what i could. I have made many friends through this job and lost some really close ones. In one way or another you have all impacted my life for the positive and helped shape me into the person I am today.
I will do my best to keep any promises or agreements I might have made to you in the next 2 weeks. Please be patient with me as I will be in overdrive mode to make sure that everything is taken care of. My only regret is that I was not given enough time to get you guys and girls in the street team shirts I designed. Their release date was out of my control. Just know when they finally come out that I spent a lot of time designing them and planning them for you.
For those of you who want to keep contact with me I will be posting my facebook info later on.
Thank you Joe for allowing me the opportunity to promote your music and thank you all for allowing me to live my dream even if for a short time.
Keep On Rockin!

Re: Alexis Signing out

Alexis,
I gave a short reply and best wishes on facebook. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you on the street team and other issues that came up. You have been professional, responsive and exact in each instance. I enjoyed a couple of chats on the phone as well. You had the toughest job I can imagine, like a juggler with 50 balls in the air. I trust you will succeed in whatever endeavor the world presents you. All the best to your future.

Re: Alexis Signing out

You will be missed and leave big shoes to fill.  Running the street team has been a labor of love and I hope you will keep in touch.  I can't even imagine what a tough decision this has been for you, and hope it works out for you - maybe a full time ninja - lol.

Best of luck  -

Re: Alexis Signing out

Alexis - we corresponded just a couple times, but that was enough for your enthusiasm and professionalism to shine through.

Best of luck - and remember you can still come here and hang with us! smile
