Re: Sheffield show review

Well done to Kohoutek for getting the setlist - I was going to try and photograph one but I'm so short that I probably couldn't see on to the stage!! The Arena was a bit cavernous but we had 2nd row seats so I had a great view.

This was my 10th time seeing Joe - how do his shows keep getting better and better when they have always been unbelievably brilliant??

"Slow Train" was a brilliant opener. Highlights for me were "Midnight Blues" (GM's version was stunning, but as ever with Joe's covers, he takes them to another level - it was so moving and beautiful), "Sloe Gin", "Blues Deluxe", "Song of Yesterday", "Woke Up Dreaming", "Steal Your Heart Away", loved the new "Driving Towards The Daylight" and the madness in "Young Man's Blues". It is great to see the band interacting and having fun on stage...and what fabulous performances from everyone.

Thank you Joe, Carmine, Rick and Tal for a wonderful 2hrs 20mins of magic - I'm even more excited about Bournemouth, Birmingham and Nottingham now !! smile smile smile

Re: Sheffield show review

Definitely agree with you Linda re Midnight Blues. It's a superb cover! In fact a brilliant setlist all round. We missed "Bird on a wire" as he does that so well, but then the new song was terrific, so not feeling too deprived smile The interaction in the band was great as you mention:

Enjoy all the other shows (lucky you!). Maybe see you in Birmingham smile
