Wow! An acoustic "live" album. I guess I can scratch that off my wish list. Would love to be present for this event, but the follow up CD or DVD will do just fine.

Ain't nothin' I'd rather do, but I don't even have a passport and definitely am lacking the funds to take that kind of vacation. At least until I win a Lotto prize. Hopefully you'll be there with vid cam in hand.

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

Impossible for me to go...................

Last schoolweek, so very busy, and as a teacher you must be there ( is normal of course) and we can't take days off when we want, even in normal working weeks.

A week later had been  perfect Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Rotterdam for me, very nice too!!

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

I did notice that it says JB and Band and not JB with Orchestra, as I read somewhere before.

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

Clashes with Govt Mule in Manchester so can't manage sad

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

Ai, same as André for me. Schoolteachers can't plan their own vacations...
sad
Rotterdam is a nice alternative though!

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

Now I'm excited! How'd you get 2nd row Pete? LOL We're 3rd row, but still great seats IMHO. George was born and raised in Vienna and we've always talked about a road trip. July is as good as any other time. We'll be stopping in Germany for Eva, so I'll get to see her Rock Star Dad wink  Can you say pastries? YUM    bibi, see you in Rotterdam smile        Cathy

This would appear to be a mistake, Lee. The band is officially on holiday then. I'll try to get clarification.

Yup, this will be quite some trip for me in many ways - my first visit to Vienna since my mother's funeral in 05, sitting at the front of the Vienna Opera, where I sat many times as a child (I was dragged there by my mother, it wasn't like I said, 'Oh mommy, mommy please, can I go the opera?') big_smile

And of course, showing Cathy Germany and Austria along the way, a part of the world with stunning scenery, wonderful food, stupendous pastries, and my favorite beers. Moreover, a part of the world and a city that I can still feel 'at home' in. This will be a gastronomic bonanza, summer road trip to one of Europe's most beautiful cities in the company of three lovely ladies! big_smile

Lucky me, I'll be traveling with Cathy, Eva, and her mom.

It's a dawg's life, but someone has to do it.......  tongue

Late update - I understand that two more of the usual suspects will be in attendance, but I'll let them announce it themselves. wink

Re: Vienna (meet details - time change!)

I think I just got 2 tickets for Vienna.  I did not understand the shipping options.

They were in German. They had options for 0,4,and 6 euros.  I picked the 6 euro option but will not make any reservations until I have tickets in hand.

Can any of our European friends shed any light on this for me?

Looking forward to a great adventure.

Where will you be coming from, XLK? What row did you get?

0 is for tickets to be picked up.

4 euros is for Austrian postage

6 euros (I presume) must be for foreign postage, though I filled in my Dutch address and it charged 4 euros, even though I said the tickets would be picked up. We'll see what happens.

We live outside Philadelphia.  I do not know what row, I picked the highest price.

Can not imagine there is a bad seat in the place.

Long flight, big cost, a small price to pay for such a great adventure.
