Topic: Current Promo Cards for 2012 Spring Tour

I have given out some promo cards for the upcoming Joe show in Des Moines on May 3rd.  I have gotten calls back that there is no download, just promo for Beacon package.  Looked for myself and got the same thing.  I checked my download file to see if it went there, it didn't...anybody know what's up with this?  I'd like to redeem myself with these people.  I'm not computer savvy, maybe I am missing something?????  I know there are plenty of places on You Tube to send them to, to listen to Joe, but how do you make this work?

Hello Patty, nice to meet you!

Well, it seems if you enter the url without "www", as in "jbonamassa.com/slowtrain" it takes you to the freedownload.  If it is entered with "www" you're taken to the home page.

Not that taking a newbie to the home page is bad, but I hope the powers at be remedy the situation.

Thanks Trun3 for the way to the download....nice to meet you, too!...I'm thinkin' maybe of taking a black marker to the www.....will look tacky...but at least it gets them to what they were looking for.........thanks again.....you're right it not's bad to direct them to the home page, but people do look for that free download........now my next question is:  If they hold their phone to that white box with all the black squiggly lines on the card, where does that take you to?  (Obviously my phone does not have those powers or I would have tried it.)

Very good question/concern Patty. I've been playing around with the links and Trun3 is correct about where they lead you. If you go to the link as it appears on the card you may or may not see the banner for the free download. The first time I saw the link and I was able to get the download, but the next time I went to the Joe's home page there was a street team banner where the free download banner was previously. The next time there was a banner for t-shirts and again no visible "Free Download" banner. Because it's obviously hit-or-miss on whether the "Slow Train" download will appear on the home page, it's seems reasonable, albeit extra work, to black out the www.

Thank you so much Jane Hall for actively pursuing this....you are my heroine and Alexis you are my hero and if anyone else helped my thanks to them, too.  Getting ready for Civic Center push next week so glad to know the link is working.  I have my sites set on seeing this
