Topic: From Jamaica, Home to Haileybury, I brought Joe Up to Northern Ontario

Amsterhammer suggested I post this here...

I just got back home late yesterday from a trip down to Jamaica.  On the way, while waiting to depart at the airport...my wife bought me a Classic Rock magazine.  T'was the 'Joe' issue.  I vaguely remembered him from back when he was a wee bit of a lad but had forgotten all about him.

Needless to say the entire article was a VERY interesting read.

Around the 2nd maybe 3rd day in Jamaica I thought that I'd throw on the CD which accompanied the magazine.

WOW!!!!!  [and then some]

Pretty darned amazing material...spread out over almost a decade.  Terrific songs and excellent performances.  Stunning arrangements.  I thought that truly great music was all but done for.

Wrongo.

I am now a confirmed fan.  I couldn't stop playing the disc and now I've come here to buy more Bonamassa.

I hope that that marketing avenue [Classic Rock mag] rains nothing but positive rewards Joe's way.  A brilliant strategy for reaching those who just didn't know.

[since originally posting this I've ordered the package of Joe's back catalogue and pre-ordered the NEW release.  Looks like I have a LOT to look forward to.]

welcome to the forum Lee, good to have you. You have become, as we say, bonaddicted. By all means you need to get the "catalog", and wait til you hear the last two he put out.
Live at the Beacon (DVD) is coming out pretty soon as well. You guys got a PBS type network? If so, they should be running it soon, check local listings. Hang around and post often if you like.

There you go. wink

Welcome again, and please ignore the last thing I posted in the other topic (now removed). I had a senior moment and confused you with the previous newbie from the greater D.C. area.
