Sadly, I won't be attending, but Cathy and I both know a couple of people who will be at this tour kick-off. I hope to be able to share a set list and some kind of feedback afterwards.
What a great place to kick off The 2012 Joe Bonamassa World Tour, Lisbon and the wonderful country of Portugal plus Joe has never played their before, so a all new audience to blow away. 
Best wishes to Joe Carmine Rick Tal and all the crew for this and all the live shows to follow this year.
All those stages await the finest band on the planet.

Let me begin by thanking the Portuguese Baseball Union? for choosing this week to hold a camp 90 minutes outside Lisbon thus negating my X-Mas gift to my nephew. His girlfriend and George's cousin, who is with the Austrian Embassy in Lisbon, are going, but they are not familiar with song titles making it hard to get a set list. I'm trying to coordinate the procurement of one after the show in hopes of getting it posted. I'm SO ready for this tour to get going.

I was on Joe's tonight show in Lisbon and I still don't know what kind of magic happened . It was beautiful and, when Joe played "Sloe Gin", I had tears in my eyes with such sound purity of the intro. I've never heard a guitar with a sound like that, so gently played. And I got a pick as a bonus... Thank you very much "John Henry guy" and all band

I was kind of hoping that there would be some changes in the set list.
Same here. Seems they're playing it very safe, no surprises at all. It's like I love spaghetti, but once in a while I wouldn't mind lasagna !!! Dust Bowl is such a great album and would have loved to hear some more of it. Maybe we'll see some minor changes on the US leg.

Very little rehearsal time before the European leg of the tour. The early dates are in countries and venues that he has not played recently. I would expect the setlist to morph throughout the tour possibly something from the new album but don't quote me on that. By the time he gets to the UK and USA he will have the tour set settled.

many thanks Rick, this is what I was looking for. Sounds like he almost blew up that person's recording device, it obviously wasn't meant to handle that volume or maybe they were just too close. Has Joe been "practicing" on the theramin ? He's getting some wicked sounds out of it.

There are more Tres, so far all by the same person. All equally distorted audio. If you want to go see them they're up on yt. I sure wish folks would refrain from using their camera in the cell dor pad to record vids to post. I've yet to see one that was even half good. Still nice to see the great reception the Portugese fans gave Joe and Co.
Not going to lie, I love Joe but that's kind of a disappointing set list...He has so many great songs I wish he would do some rotating..That's pretty close to his set list from last Spring...I'm seeing him in May so hopefully he changes it up a bit. I'm sure it will be a great show, and I'm not trying to put Joe down, he is still without a doubt my favorite performer. Just hoping for a little variety.
My plan is to play the set that we played in Lisbon until we get to places that have heard that set before and then change it. I am also waiting on a few mixes of fresh studio stuff from Kevin to throw in by the time we hit the USA. Had a blast in Portugal and we are now in Spain.. Up early having breakfast at the hotel... Might join the crew for load in ......

I for one will be more than happy with that set - some of my very favourites and it will be the first time I've seen you live (Liverpool 28th March). I'm afraid I can't think of suitable words to describe how much I'm looking forward to hearing your music live. Good luck with the tour.
