Topic: Les Paul Custom Guitar on Pawn Stars
I know many things on this show are just a set up but this is still a cool guitar and would be great to own.

I can't imagine dropping $90,000 on one guitar! I loved the episode though...they really should do more instrument deals on that show, those seem to be the best episodes!
The guitar is being listed on a familiar auction site: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mary-Fords-Pers … 337109afb7
It looks really cool.

Wow 90 bids and it's already at $100,000!!! Man some people really have some coinage to throw around.
yup posted that link under the title of Joe's 1960 with bigsby.
I watched the show and seen the auction.. there is no proof that it was Mary's
The have some contracts with Les and Gibson and such but no pictures.
over on the My Les Paul forum someone found an album cover with Mary and a white SG with Les right beside her but that wasn't in the documentation on the show.
some on My Les Paul forum thinks its a 63 not a 61
pretty ugly pickups without the gold covers on them.
Probably be bought by Hard Rock Cafe.
...or watch out soon for a youtube video of Malmsteen shredding on it.
I agree Dave.... Thats a Hard Rock or a Paul Allen type of guitar.. Museum piece really... I will say it is going higher than a lot of people thought...

I still can't believe the nephew sold it to them.........I thought he would have kept it in the family...
Yeah I saw the re-run last night, the guy asked for $250,000 and was talkied down to $90k, now the "Buy now" price on ebay is $250k, I bet that nephew feels like a smuck

C'mon JB admit it, you'd love to have that one in your collection. Maybe not at that price though. BTW, have you ever played an SG live?

The bidder must have really wanted this guitar, it looks like they out bid their own bid by 10 grand.
That's strange because on ebay you generally can't out bid yourself.
if you put on an amount then an hour later put on a higher amount; that extra is just padding to keep it safe unless someone bids higher than your highest.
you can see where j**n had put 100k then m**a took it by 100,100 then j**n took it back with 100,200 but then went back and put 110k
what I think you don't see is another buyer puming up the bids untill time ran out; just like it was for user 2**2

That's right.
