Topic: North Sea Jazz 2009

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, and it might be better to just pose it to Joe himself. But, I was curious whether anyone knows what pedal was being used here:

It's featured prominently throughout Joe's set. The sound is similar to the one he had on "Tea For One." Joe described that sound as a uni-vibe type of effect on an old TC chorus. Does anyone know if that's what he was using here ?

Re: North Sea Jazz 2009

My guess is he has a slight tremolo effect.

Yes, I do hear the tremolo in the beginning. But, there's another effect there as well.

Agree. It sound like a vibe effect. Could be chorus doing that.

Re: North Sea Jazz 2009

Chorus, reverb, delay and tremelo I think

Re: North Sea Jazz 2009

There's not much info about this pedalboard but for sure he had got the ernie ball wah, ts 808 and boss ch-1. I think that what you're asking for is the super chorus smile

It's strange because the effect is fairly subtle in the beginning which makes me think it's not a uni-vibe. And I always think of chorus as having more of an artificial sound when used with overdrive.

Re: North Sea Jazz 2009

Sounds like vibe and trem together with some fuzz.
