Topic: amp pairing and speaker help!

Hi guys can someone help me and tell me what I need to do to achieve this ! I want to run and Marshall dsl 100w paired with a budda sd 80 linked up to a 2x12 loaded with 2 ev12 at 8 ohms per speaker!! Can someone do a step by step set up guide for me please !!

Re: amp pairing and speaker help!

You need a cabinet with two inputs (one per speaker). One SPEAKER cable from each head (each set to 8 ohms). You can also wire a third cab input so that you could run one head into both speakers (impedance would be different dependent on wiring them in series or parallel). Cheers.

Re: amp pairing and speaker help!

We build this very cabinet, split into two 1 x 12's and designed specifically for ev12l's.  For ev12l's you may need a much stouter cabinet, especially on the baffle to support the weigh of 2 ev12ls and 8 screw holes vs four on most cabs.  You can get a switch system from ce distribution called plug and play, which will wire up the cab, or use two separate inputs as mentioned.

These are great cabs, we have done 3 for Cindyron, and just did another for a guy with one side open back and the other closed back.

Good luck on your cabinet hunt!

+1  on Don's cabinets. I have one of the 4x12 with Sugarcones/EVL and semi-open back. Phenomenal-sounding cab.

When I needed a 2x12 for my EVM12L Black Labels I have these guys do it:

Super heavy duty and can split with open backs or even open sides (w/grille cloth covering)
