Topic: Get New Gear for Xmas or with Xmas money??

So what new gear did you guys get for christmas and/or plan on getting using christmas money?

I just ordered a "Schism" pedal by Badger Effects and I think Im going to order the Badgerplex AC also. I already have an EP booster by xotic but I am very very curious to try the Badgerplex AC since it's supposedly made to be a very very accurate rendition of the old EP3 Echoplex.

After those two maybe I'll give a reverb pedal another chance and see how that would work having the ability to blend the effect in/out with the Schism pedal.

After all that I will have pretty much tapped my Christmas cash.

Im just curious to see what some of you guys might have gotten or are planning on getting

My brother In Law gave me his old Fender Banjo, its about 8-10 years old now and needs a lot of TLC but I'm having fun with it!

My wife got me a iRig for my iPhone.
It doesn't replace my tube amps but it is a pretty cool little device for headphone practicing. Never messed with simulators before but these actually sound pretty decent and you can record yourself. You can record straight in and add fx post recording too. Again won't replace my tube amps but fun to play around with.

Several months ago I got a Gibson USA limited release Flying V with the Floyd Rose tremolo. The only way I could justify it was to deem it a Christmas gift to myself. And then the JB Crybaby showed up a few days before Christmas. The stuff for Joe to autograph just keeps piling up! lol

I went on a Barber pedal spree with the money I got. Got a LTD, a Direct Drive and a Super Sport.  If you haven't played through barbers stuff do your self a favor and give them a whirl they are the bee's knees. And my wife gave me A carbon copy as well.

yeah the Barber LTD is awesome.  I spent a few hours jamming on one recently.  very cool stuff

A '57 vintage strat (black, of course) and a Marshall Class5 head and cab (that hasn't arrived yet). It was a pretty good Christmas smile

I gave myself a CAE OD100 classic + for xmas. Extraordinairy sounding amp and should be a good friend with my silver jub.

My Wife got me a pair of nearfield monitors for the studio. 

I have also ordered a couple of tube combo amps - two because I kinda messed up an order, but it'll be fun to compare them.  The first is a Bugera V22C - lots of good reports on these.  And the second is a Marshall MA50C - not sure whether these are OK, but I got it new (shop-soiled) for just £300!  Basically needed a good tube combo with FX loop to replace my Roland Cube 60 (which is great but no FX loop).

UPDATE: Seriously poor reliability issues with the Bugera.  Sounded very sweet indeed until I plugged in the footswitch and then after it had warmed up a bit, I got a buzz/warble from the amp every 30 seconds!  It's on it's way back to the retailer for a refund.  The Marshall on the other hand appears to be excellent value for money - I'll be gigging it tomorrow.

I got the $300 Bose QuietComfort headphones. they are like pilot headphones in terms of noise cancellation, and sounded awesome... for for the money? I couldn't justify it. I took them back and bought some used vinyl records smile

I got a Fulltone Deja Vibe and a Dyna Comp. Love the Deja Vibe! My dad got a Zendrive...he's been playing it since he got it, but I can't wait to check that out as well
