Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

PP 2+ all the way. More versatile, and yes you can run digital pedals.

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

2+ and end of discussion:-)

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

The Iso 5 doesn't have the extra ac plug on the back like the PP2 does.  That comes in handy if you want to power certain pedals that Only use their OWN power adapter.  Otherwise, if you're only using it for a small pedal tray in a rack case, the smaller, ISO 5 will save you some space.  Just make sure the only pedals you're going to be using will work with it.  Both units will power pretty much any effect pedal, even the line 6 dl4 for example.  Doesn't matter if you're running a fuzz or OD, delay, they all will be powered perfectly noiseless with both units.  If you're using for a pedalboard, stick with the PP2. -S

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

Have a look at Gigrig.com, it blows away voodoo labs (we got through 3 in a short period of time), a lot more versatile and solid, been touring one hard for a while now.

Best to check the pedals mfg's recommendations but the PP2 will handle your needs.

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

Following this thread with interest.  I just researched the PP2+ and found out that whilst this power supply sells for around $160 in the US, it sells for around $320 (!!) here in Australia.  Wow!

I doesn't seem like I can order one from the US like I normally do, because it looks like the unit does not have a universal 120/240V input and has to be customised for locality!  Shame...

Same here in Europe. I paid the equivalent of almost $300 (despite the very favourable $ exchange rate). Annyoing, but I haven't regretted buying it. It's fab. No hiss, no hum at all, all pedals are dead quiet. Works a treat even with fussy pedals like the Holy Grail plus.

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

I have the PP2 its awesome!

Re: voodoo power supply to pedal board !!

No secrecy in the gigrig - Daniel is one of the real good guys. Look at his Pro switching systems...the great guys use them. Daniel is a tone fiend and has his own great setup as a player - he designs every bit of kit that he would - and does - use himself (uses the Lazy J stuff too). If you're in the UK especially...head there...you'll be leaving VL behind.
