OH BTW MY favorite amp is a Kustom w/1 Eminence 15" and the horn behind me and the extension cab with 2 15s and a horn for behind the guitar player. 1200 watts for those rare occasions when the guitarist can't hear me.
True story: At a blues jam at the mainline bucket of blood. One of those rare occasions when there was magic. House band for this night was a young cat on guitar (Mo a very talented rarity who understood dynamics/blues) my deaf drummer Rooster and myself. Trading out front spot singers, guitarists, keys, the occasional horn player...a night of very acceptable collaboration...until...
Mario comes up, plugs in, noodles a bit (annoying to all) announces the song and we start...with Mario at volume 19...in a club. At the second line of the first verse he turns and says "I can't hear my self sing." When he turned back around to the mic, we all dropped out. He was the loudest thing on stage.
So now he stops playing and wants to know whats wrong with you guys? Now the crowd gets into it. You're too loud ****. That's the way I play, says he. He did not get his 3 songs after that. There's one in every crowd.
