Topic: Palmer PDI-03 live to add a wet element???
Hey guys, I know very little about the Palmer amp sim and have no experience trying to work with unorthodox signal routing. I want to add a second amp to my dry no-verb, no fx loop, Komet amp rig to give me some wetness and ambiance. More so for my personal feel of the stage mix. My band uses in ear monitors and no wedges thus we have a relatively low stage volume. Makes it hard on me because I have less noise to burry the sound of guitar in. I play one monitor in and one out cuz I can't stand to only hear the guitar in the ears. Sounds like 3-day old dog crap in the tiny little in-ear speakers, but I can't no matter what get away from the overly pronounced dry in my face nature of my amp especially since I'm usually set up very close to it
Anybody used the Palmer as an alternative to a second amp for adding a wet signal? Obviously this would be cheaper and take up less space than a stereo amp rig
For instance what if I ran amp into the Palmer thru to the cab and sent an out signal to my wet fx pedals and sent that straight into board? Perhaps I could then dial that channel into my ears to give me a better feel.
Or what about using a power amp and 112 speaker to run wet effects to and I guess mic'ed that speaker as well?
Any thoughts and/or other suggestions would be much appreciated since I don't know much about this type of thing
Thanks
