Topic: Joe B Tour in Louisville

Joe B and the band were terrific in Louisville (KY) on Nov. 15 and we plan to catch him again sometime soon. That said, Joe's sound man, at least the one used that night, needs to find new work. You could not hear the keyboards on any tune (unless he was the only one playing) anywhere in the theatre, and the bass sounded like a constant low frequency rumble. Considering what masters these musicians are, they all deserve a first rate sound man to mix things. Just sayin. Thankfully, Joe was loud and clear.

Re: Joe B Tour in Louisville

When I saw Joe in Nashville last year the sound was pristine...better than any show of any type I've ever seen (and I've seen a bunch).

I will have to disagree with you on this one.  I was in the center section, five rows back from the tables on the aisle on the bass/drum side.  I thought the overall mix was excellent and the bass sounded outstanding where I was sitting.  Nice tight low end thump.

That is the most important thing in my book  wink

Re: Joe B Tour in Louisville

I have to respectfully disagree.  We were at the Cleveland show and the sound was grest.  Saw them in Louisville and it was even better.  Have to agree with Wharris....Nashville was our first ever Joe show and after 8 shows it has remained the best.  Regardless....Joe and mates would sound good on am radio.
