Topic: NGD!! well... sort of...

So, about two years ago I had to sell my 1995 G&L Legacy in sunburst, rosewood fretboard, because times were tough.  Luckily it went to a good friend and he no longer needed it.  Her name is Shiloh and she is back home with me tonight.  Giving it a good cleaning and a restring, and she will be good to go.  This guitar used to be my favorite lady, and now she has come home.  I got bit by the strat bug again, after a long spell of Firebirds.  Picture my level of happiness to that the end scene of Return of the King when Golum grabs the ring of power again.  Yep.

Cool. Great that you had to chance to get her back. Try not to let her slip through your fingers again!

At least you didn't have to bite off a finger to get it back lol

Very lucky to have it come back to you. There's been a few pices of gear I'd love to have back...like the 68 Bandmaster and 2x12 cab that I pawned in my 20's.  sad

yeah over the years, many guits have come and gone, but this one is the only I missed.  Really happy to have it back.  The pickups on it are just awesome (G&L) Alnico V's.  It is still a 3-bolt and built with the original Fender machines.  A proper strat-type guitar!

I love G&L's I just can never find any that fit my very limited budget.

Yeah I understand it all too well.  I did not buy this new, when I first got it many years ago.  I actually bought it off craigslist in a different state and agreed to pay for the shipping, altogether 450 bucks, which is a steal for a US made guitar.  The transaction was through paypal so I felt safe that both parties were covered.   There are good deals out there, we just have to be persistent.

Glad to see you were able to get your guitar back.  I have a couple out there somewhere I would like to see again.  I let them go back in my college days when a new guitar meant I had to also let one go.

Re: NGD!! well... sort of...

Many years ago I had a sunburst Rosetti Airstream 3 guitar with three humbucK hmm ers with three on off sliders for control of each. Sold it 1977. Never seen one since but would love to see one again. Anyone ever seen one?

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

I'm hoping very soon I'll have a story to tell just like this of a 2001 SG Standard that I sold to a lady at my work.  I was going to buy it back this past October but money fell flat on its little green face, so now I've gotta wait till tax returns come back.
