Legendary metal outfit Black Sabbath will reunite for a European trek next spring in anticipation of a fall release -- the band's first in 33 years.
The iconic rockers -- comprised of frontman Ozzy Osbourne, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi -- will return to the road with a May 18 performance in Moscow. The European outing ventures through 15 cities in 11 countries before the closing out the leg with a June 24 concert in Milan, Italy.
The itinerary includes several festival appearances, such as Norway's Bergen Calling (5/29); Azkena Rock Festival in Bilbao, Spain (6/15); Hellfest in Nantes, France (6/18); and Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium (6/22).
Tickets for many dates are available now at the band's website.
More worldwide dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, according to an 11/11/11 press conference Black Sabbath held at the Whisky a Go-Go in West Hollywood, CA.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are hard at work on a new album -- their first since 1978's "Never Say Die!" -- alongside producer Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys). The still-untitled effort is expected to hit retailers sometime next fall.

tour dates and tickets
Thought I would post this info for any that want to get tickets.
I saw Ozzy back in '82 with Randy Rhoads, but never with Sabbath, so this would be a bucket list item for me.
J&I actually had tickets to a Sabbath + Ozzy show quite a few years back as part of a tour that was cancelled due to Ozzy's record company not giving permission. Those tickets were refunded. Hopefully that won't happen again this time, because we're certainly going to get tickets if/when it comes to a major metropolitan area near us.
We saw Heaven & Hell with Dio a few years back... great show. Dio was such a sweet guy. Jocelyn thought it was hilarious that the lines to the bathrooms were completely opposite from usual, men's line super-long, no women's line at all, walk right in!
I saw in Classic rock e newsletter that Bill Ward is not joining the band on the new recordings until they get a contact acceptable to him.I haven't been following the drama but he seems fairly honest that's its not a money grab.Sounds like they are offering some tiny piece of the pie.But don't really know.

Yeah, he seems to be getting a raw deal (like last time) but they will tour without him. Hopefully a compromise can be reached but its looking less likely.

Black Sabbath without those four members is just a Grey Thursday to me.
