Topic: Hello from the Netherlands

Hello,
My name is Mike. A blues guitar player from the Netherlands.
I've played on the same festival as Joe in 2009. The Moulin Blues festival in Ospel.
I play a Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Studio for 2 weeks now and i really like it after 20 years of Fender Stratocaster.
I did not buy it because i want to sound like Joe but the reviews of these guitar are great otherwise i would have bought a SG.
I allready read a lot of topics for the gear and other stuff.

Do you play in a band? If so, what's the name and do you perform in public? The next two shows that a number of forum members will be attending are Ryan McGarvey at the Qbus in Leiden on Nov. 14, and Leif de Leeuw opening for Oli Brown at the Boerderij on Dec. 1.

If you haven't heard of Ryan McGarvey, please do yourself a big favor and check him out! I have posted some new vids on youtube with the same user name as here.

I play in the band Driving South.
The rest of this year we focus on recording a cd. In 2012 we play at Bluezy Blues Festival in Ridderkerk, Paasblues in Asten and The Bossche Blues Night.
I know Leif the Leeuw smile A great young guitar player with lots of talent. We played togheter on a festival.

I'm from Germany and at the moment I'm very often in the Netherlands: yesterday Enschede, today Groesbeek, following Ryan McGarvey ... All I can say is don't miss him.
Haven't seen your band so far, but I'll remember the name.
