Wow what a privilage for Joe
I remember Donal saying in an interview that he would not let anyone play
Rorys Strat as it only had one master .. Glad he changed his mind !!
It makes one wish to be extremely wealthy, to be able to travel and see each show, so as not to miss these moments when the wizard pulls another trick out of his bag. Truely epic moments for the London fans. What now to top this one?

I hope the answer comes when Joe & Co play the Beacon.

We thought Joe had an amazing guitar collection. Now he's amassing an amazing "Guitars Played" collection. One can only dream...
I can see the collectors lining up for the privilege of saying their priceless relic was played by Joe!

You could add EVH's Frankenstien too.
This one actually begs the question- what's the most single valuable guitar in the world? I'd hazard the Page LP or the Hendrix Strat.
He'll play it.
Gary Moore /Peter Green Les Paul
SRV No1 strat

The answer to that is easy. Billy Gibbons "Pearly Gates"!
I think he has owned this guitar for a while... just doesn't tour with it all that much at all. I'd almost be willing to bet that guitar stays on the Euro tour, and won't come back for the US tour... most Europeans probably readily identify that as a Rory strat.
and it is sort of a low profile cool tribute to the guy who has been a major influence on joe's music.
as far as the guitar goes, I do believe it's a Fender Custom Shop limited run from a few years back... I don't know how many they made though.
Sure, that's probably why he said "thanks to Donal and Dan Gallagher for loaning me Rory's strat"

No, no, no! I think you've got that wrong bud. The guitar Joe played was THE Rory Strat - i.e. the one that all the Fender Custom Shop guitars were modelled on!

Nic, no- it was truly the original. Joe said so.

Maybe it would be cool if he somehow stumbled upon THE BONAMASSA LES PAUL and played it after all these years ( meaning his old gold top he had to sell and which was the inspiration for all the Bonamassa Goldtops)
